Catalytic converters contain an inner surface that is coated with platinum and rhodium. these precious metals convert the noxious exhaust fumes into harmless gases.
Over time the performance of the cat deteriorates as the platinum and rhodium coating becomes contaminated. this results in an increase in harmful emissions.
Redex Cat Guard is a unique fuel additive for petrol engine vehicles. it contains a solution of platinum and rhodium called platinum plus which re-coats the inner surface of the cat restoring its performance and reducing harmful emissions. regular use will ensure that the cat is protected from contamination and peak performance is maintained.
